As we spilt last year, it’s a go for more Muvhango with the start of Season 25.

It premiered on Wednesday 3 January and by Thursday Matshidiso was back on the show – in true soapieville style, having returned from the dead.

Buhle Samuels reprises the role once again, after leaving in 2019 and then returning for a brief stint the following year.

Buhle isn’t the only one with a Muvhango script on her bedside table again. Sydney Ramakuwela also returns and arrives tonight, as royal outcast Mulalo who’s been in Mauritius.

This is how the production describes him: best known for his scheming, self-victimisation, and constant comparison to Azwindini, Mulalo feels he should also have a predominant role in the Mukwevho family.

It’s clear the production’s on a mission to up the ante because it’s been a while since there’s been a crowd of newcomers and now they’re introducing four new characters.

They are:

Here are new people coming on Muvhango

Manditi

Played by Tshepo “Howza” Mosese

Manditi is woven from mystery, intelligence, ruthlessness and charisma. The mystery surrounds his past, creating an air of intrigue. Ruthlessness defines his actions, as he stops at nothing to achieve his goals.

Tshililo Netshitangane

Played by Aubrey Mmakola (This isn’t the first time that Aubrey’s been on the show)

At first glance, Tshililo is a spoilt rich kid who grew up with a silver spoon. He is strong-willed, hard-headed, and very opinionated.

But when one gets to know him better, a gentle but troubled soul emerges.

His passion is music and events management, but he has no musical talent. He dreams of becoming the biggest Booking Agent for musicians.

Reneilwe “Rene” Netshitangane

Played by Sinete Nemakonde (an AFDA graduate)

Reneilwe is a resilient individual, shaped by the indomitable spirit of her alpha female mother.

She is an elegant and stunning woman who turns heads when she walks without trying to put in effort.

Reneilwe carries herself with an innate poise that mirrors the refined upbringing she received.

She debuts on 11 January 2024.

Nkele Dikeledi Netshitangane

Played by Mudi Mudau

Reneilwe’s mother, a top Limpopo businesswoman with ambitions to dominate the male dominated construction industry.

She is an overbearing mother who smothers her daughter with love and money.

Nkele has a dominant character, and she makes her presence felt without even trying when she enters a room.
