PSL STATEMENT ON MTN8 SEMI-FINALS

“The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has confirmed the dates, venues, and kick-off times for the upcoming MTN8 semi-final fixtures,” PSL announced via a statement.

“Cape Town City will be at home to Orlando Pirates in the first leg of their clash on Tuesday, 27 August 2024 at DHL Stadium, with kick-off at 19h00. The second leg fixture will be held at Orlando Stadium on Saturday, 31 August 2024. Kick-off is at 15h00.

 

“In the other semi-final bracket, Mamelodi Sundowns will face Stellenbosch FC in their first leg at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Wednesday, 28 August 2024, with kick-off at 19h00. The return leg is scheduled for Sunday, 01 September 2024 at Moses Mabhida Stadium, kicking off at 15h00.

WHEN WILL FINAL TAKE PLACE?

Meanwhile, the final 2024/25 PSL fixtures show that the MTN8 final will take place on 5 October. However, the venue is yet to be revealed.

 

Meanwhile, in the other semi-final, Mamelodi Sundowns will welcome Stellenbosch FC in the first leg on Wednesday, 28 August at 7 pm at Lucas Moripe Stadium. The second leg will take place at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on 1 September at 3 pm.

 

The PSL has officially confirmed the dates, venues, and kick-off times for the highly anticipated MTN8 semi-finals, as well as the date for the final.

With four teams remaining in the competition, the battle for the two spots will be contested over two legs. Next week, Cape Town City will host Orlando Pirates in the first leg on Tuesday, 27 August at DHL Stadium at 7 pm while the return tie will held at Orlando Stadium on Saturday, 31 August at 3 pm.
