“Tomorrow in the newspapers and today in the table, it will say that we lost the game 1-0 but today AmaZulu beat the best team in Africa but unlikely four people decided the opposite,” said Martin.
When asked further what he was unhappy about, he responded: “You were watching the game and you’re watching our games. It’s about time that someone says something about how unfair and how bad we are treated
“Again, we played against the best team in Africa and we should have beaten them but four people decided the opposite.
“It happened again in the semi-final [Carling Knockout Cup] three days ago and many times during the league and we are not saying anything.
“I think with a fair situation, we would be right now probably fighting for the top four without having that position, we would be in the final right now.
“I think today we played a great game against the best team in Africa. During many minutes, we dominated them and we created chances and scored one goal.
“It’s the first time for me seeing them wasting time in these games of PSL even [towards] the end of the first half. I think we need to be proud but unlikely again without points after performing so good.”
A visibly furious Pablo Franco Martin spoke his mind after AmaZulu FC suffered a 1-0 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns in the DStv Premiership on Wednesday.
In a match that was played in the mild rain at the King Zwelithini Stadium, multiple officiating incidents left the Spanish coach unsatisfied.
AmaZulu were denied what seemed like a legitimate goal that was scored by the midfielder Hendrick Ekstein. Martin also questioned the penalty that was awarded to Mamelodi Sundowns which was converted by Lucas Ribeiro in the first half.
And he insisted they “beat” Rulani Mokwena’s side, however, “four people” decided against it.
He stated it’s high time they speak out about the “unfair” treatment they have gotten this season. He feels they were also hard done in a match against TS Galaxy in the Carling Knockout Cup semi-final.
Martin says Usuthu would be competing in the top four if it was not for poor officiating.
