Reeve Frosler in action against TS Galaxy

Lucas Radebe said: “The left-back, Reeve Frosler. I think Reeve Frosler has a chance in that position. He can compete. Otherwise, most of them are like future national team players.

“It’s mainly because of the standard at the moment but I think Reeve Frosler can play,” Lucas Radebe said.

However, the Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana legend Lucas Radebe is of the view that Reeve Frosler deserves a chance.

The 25-year-old defender is comfortable playing both the left-back and right-back position. At Kaizer Chiefs, he has mainly been deployed in the right-back position.

In truth, he is arguably one of their consistent performers. Reeve Frosler has featured in 11 of the 12 DStv Premiership matches played so far.

The Soweto giants’ player has four national team caps having made his debut in 2018.

Meanwhile, Bafana Bafana lost 2-0 away to Rwanda on Tuesday in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. They however beat Benin 2-1 in their first match played at the Moses Mabhida Stadium last week.

Percy Tau and Khuliso Mudau scored the all-important goals, they needed to start the qualifiers on a winning note.

The defeat to Rwanda means Bafana Bafana are second in Group C, one point behind Rwanda who have four points on their tally.

Nigeria, Lesotho, and Zimbabwe follow in that order with two points apiece. Benin are bottom of the pile with one point on their tally

Lucas Radebe believes the Soweto giants, Kaizer Chiefs have one more player that deserves to be considered by Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos.

Only Sibongiseni Mthethwa made it into Hugo Broos’ final 23-men squad for the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Initially, Given Msimango and Sifiso Hlanti were drafted in the 44-men provisional squad. But they were later trimmed together with 19 other players from different clubs as Hugo Broos picked his final squad.
