The current Magesi FC coach, who played with Khomane between 1999–2001 at the Buccaneers, says there is no one who can say anything bad about him.

“It’s such sad news that he has passed on at such a young age. Words can’t explain what it means to his ex-teammates, especially to his family that has lost a pillar of strength you know.

“So our condolences go out to his family. We hope that they stay strong during this difficult period in their lives. Papi was such a genuine Human being. I don’t think there is anybody that can say anything bad about him. That’s what a good person he was,” added Larsen.

“I experienced that personally during the two years that I spent with him at Orlando Pirates. So once again condolences to his family.”

Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Clinton Larsen has described his late teammate Papi Khomane as a quiet leader who was respected by everyone.

The former Bafana Bafana defender, Khomane, tragically died in a car accident alongside his mother and uncle on Saturday.

The former Jomo Cosmos and Pirates player turned TV presenter, was 48 years old at the time of his death. He was no longer involved in football with his focus now on his church commitments.
