Former Generations star announces resignation from ubungoma.
Actor Thabiso Mokhethi, popular for playing Sam in the SABC 1 soapie Generations, took to social media to announce that he is resigning as a sangoma, among other things, as he turns on a new leaf.
In recent months, Mokhethi has been sharing his life story and journey to finding and cultivating a relationship with God on social media.
“There’s a lot that has been happening in my life to build me, to distract me, to shape me, and to come to this decision. The Lord has asked me to publicly resign from everything he hasn’t called me into. The Lord has asked me to resign from everything that is not part of his plan for my life,” declared the actor.
More recently, Mokhethi opened up about his triumphant battle against drug addiction.
“I was once trapped in the clutches of drug addiction, but through grace, I found liberation. I was once consumed by my own struggles, sinking into depression, until the Lord rescued me. I used to live a life devoid of truth and honesty, but the Lord has molded me into a nobleman,” the actor revealed.
Moreover, Mokhethi “humbly” acknowledged that there are still areas in his life where the Lord continues to “guide and strengthen” him. As he experiences this personal growth, he feels compelled to share that strength with others. “The Lord empowers me, and in turn, I am called to empower you with the same strength,” said Mokhethi.
