Drama series about a woman who craves the approval of her mother and those around her and will stop at almost nothing to get it. The series is about a woman living under her younger sister’s shadow, envying her seemingly-perfect life – but not all is what it seems, as she quickly and tragically learns.

After a tragedy, Bazothini can now live her dream life, but is the grass really greener on the other side? Will Bazothini get her happily ever after? The series stars Nelisa Mchunu, Melusi Yeni, Ntando Mncube and Zinhle Mabena. The supporting cast includes Duduzile Ngcobo, Bandile Maphalala, Sjava and Nkosinathi Kheswa.

In the series premiere: Bazothini is scarred when her mother is not impressed by her promotion. At a party, Bazothinis jealousy gets the better of her and she gets into a fight with Nobuhle, which ends in death. At the funeral, MaNgobese realises that there is something going on between Julia and Siboniso.

Bazothini stops feeling sorry for herself and makes a decision that shocks Mhlengi. Called to action by Julia’s determination, Bazothini makes a decision that finally gets her a compliment from her mother.

MaNgobese and Bazothini gang up on Julia. Mhlengi moves into the mansion and Julia takes full advantage of Mhlengi’s presence and immerses herself in Siboniso’s life. Frustrated, Bazothini makes heartbreaking decision.

After finally getting the life she always wanted, Bazothini (Nelisa Mchunu) finds herself in a fight she never expected – a fight for her husband Mhlengi (Ntando Mncube).

New character Nokwanda (played by Linda Mtoba) is set to rock Bazothini’s world, alongside other new cast members including Ntandazo Mndayi (Gomora) and Thandeka Qwabe (Isibaya).

Last season, after Julia (Zinhle Mabena) told Siboniso (Melusi Yeni) that it was Bazothini who killed his wife – her sister, Nobuhle (Mbalenhle Mthembu) – Bazothini turned the tables on Julia, leaving Siboniso to think that it was Julia who was the murderer.

Bazothini had to take it a step further in order to complete her plan, pushing Julia down the stairs like she did Nobuhle. True to form, Bazothini frames her brother-in-law Siboniso for Julia’s death. Thinking her golden days are yet to come, and with all her efforts, can she get away with these murders?

Having fought to get up from under her younger sister Nobuhle’s shadow, who is now torturing her from beyond the grave, Bazothini is betrayed by the one person she trusts more than anyone on Earth: her husband, Mhlengi.

But this betrayal comes with double jeopardy: it can either unite or divide the new power couple whose solutions often end in tragedy. This season, we will learn that one wrong move can quickly turn even the best-laid plans into a nightmare.

In the Season 2 premiere: Bazothini is strangled by Nobuhle in a dream, Mhlengi gives Bazothini a car to hide his guilt and Mangobese refuses to work at Thenga Konke. Isifiso is an M-Net Original, created by Chris Q. Radebe and produced for 1Magic by Match Point Productions.
