An argument in the parking lot of a nightclub has left a Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) officer dead – and a SAPS officer is believed to have fired the fatal shot. The incident happened in the early hours of Monday morning the at Drama nightclub in Braamfontein.
Sometimes people get into a fight which is mostly sparked by minor things which could have been avoided, sometimes the fights comes after the two parties were engage in an altercation which later becomes physical and it doesn’t always end well, it usually ends with one of the two injured and in worst case scenarios, it ends with one of them dead if they are armed just like what happened at a night club in Braamfontein on Tuesday Morning where a member of the Johannesburg Metro Police Department was shot and killed by a member of the South African Police Services.
After trending for the whole day with people wondering what may have haused the deadly fight between the two off-duty officers, everyone has been wondering why the guys were fighting and the voice note has emerged where the SAPS officer was explaining to his colleague why he shot that person.
Speaking throug a voice note which he reportedly sent to his colleague, the SAPS constable said he could not lock the door and stay inside the car since he would have been shot even if he locked the doors, he also said the deceased wanted to shoot him outside the vehicle since he kept saying he should come out, he added that he realised that even if he was to drive away, the JMPD officer was going to shoot anyway and decided to shoot with intentions to paralyse him.
“We cannot argue why I didn’t lock the door because what is the guaranteed that I would get shot if I locked the door, so let us rather put that aside. When you say the guy had no intention to shoot me, no, he did not have an intention to shoot me while I was inside the car, he wanted to shoot me while I was outside the motor vehicle and I tried avoiding, but he kept saying come out, come out. I could see that if I drive away he will shoot, the only option I had was to shoot and make sure I paralyse him,” he said.
The JMPD Officer Was the one who drew out his weapons first, he kept pushing the guy who was trying to break the fight so that he can get through to the SAPS officer, however, the SAPS officer lost his cool and shot his counter part dead.
Videos were making rounds on social media after the cop was shot dead following an incident where he was trying to pull the off-duty cop out of his vehicle, but he could not since no one would get out of the car when someone is armed, but the SAPS officer was pushed to a limit and lost his temper to an extent that he ended up shooting the other officer dead.
